Steps

1. Switch off the mains while leaving the house as sometimes accidents occur due to electric iron, geyser etc in spite of auto stop arrangements.
   
2. Switch off the computers when leaving the working place so that radiation dose can be beneficially reduced.
   
3. Switch off the television sets and neon signs in public places as they can distracting [and hence harmful] to the drivers
   
4. Switch off the AC in cars and other places when not required as extra use of AC can be harmful.
   
5. Switch off the water coolers as extra cold water can be harmful.
   
6. Use stair case in stead of elevators. This can reduce the chances of infections [in closed chamber of the elevator] and improve the health due natural cardiovascular workout!
   
7. Walk to your office or for errands. This would save fuel and in turn electricity.
