My Photo Album-67: Karthik under the Apple Tree
Karthik is my nephew. He has been named after my father, his grandfather. Had my dad been alive today, he would have been very happy to see this picture and would feel proud to know that his grandson is doing well in Australia. The picture is fascinating to me in another respect. Apple is something I see only in fruit-shops or in the cart of road-side vendors. Here in the picture there are so many apples, looking so good, near the ground and easy to pluck. Very nice indeed and so I have included it in my album.

Aravind is my sister's son. He grew up in our house from the age of 2. Now, at 13, he has moved over to his parent's home and has been attending a nearby school there. We are very close to each other. I miss him, though he makes it a point to visit us every week end. The photo above is taken at Maha's Naming Function in May 2011.
