This blog has become a sort of personal-cum-public diary. As for its contents, some are meant for me and my friends and relatives; others are for the public. This blog will have only positive, ennobling, elevating, encouraging and uplifting thoughts/ideas/materials. Whoever visits should feel happy and should be able to pick up some good ideas/thoughts/links. In short, "NOTHING NEGATIVE" is my motto.(Grateful thanks to Jon Sullivan and Public-Domain-Photos.com for the background photo)

Here
is an expanded and newly transferred version of Merv's interview with Dr.
Martin Luther King, Jr. We recently discovered the lost master tape of this
show and we've had it newly transferred. This is stunning quality compared to
what we had earlier and we're thrilled to have found the original master and
that this important piece of American history is now preserved in pristine
condition. Kudos to DC Video in L.A. for their stellar work. In this segment
Dr. King shares with Merv his take on the then-current state of the Civil
Rights movement in America. Merv Griffin had over 5000 guests appear on his
show from 1963-1986. Footage from the Merv Griffin Show is available for
licensing to all forms of media through Reelin' In The Years Productions.

Maria
Popova has written for amazing outlets like The Atlantic and The New York
Times, but I find her most amazing project to be BrainPickings.org.
Founded
in 2006 as a weekly email to seven friends, BrainPickings now gets more than 5
million readers per month (!). I read very few blogs regularly, but
BrainPickings is one of the few that makes the cut. It’s a treasure trove.
In
this in-depth conversation, we cover just about everything: how it happened,
her workflow, how she writes (and workarounds to problems), how her site
generates revenue, her workouts, and many more details. If you want to know the
habits of a hyper-productive person, this episode is for you.

In this
riveting interview on Australia's ABC News, Sadhguru answers questions about
current affairs, the economy and human well-being.
Starting
with a question on corruption, Sadhguru speaks on the topic of inclusion and
the role of enlarging ones identity to include a larger whole. Responding to a query about the state of the
economy in Asia and India, he then touches upon how spirituality can have a
positive impact on the leadership of the world.
Sensationalism
in the media and the War on Terror form another key aspect of the interview,
while the last question explores the role of religion and spirituality in the
world.
Pranams to Sadhguru
and grateful thanks to Isha Foundation, ABC News and YouTube.
Spiritual guru Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev speaks about
his youth initiative and what plans he has for the future. The founder of Isha
Foundation, which functions with human well-being as its core commitment, was
conferred the Padma Vibhushan in 2017 for exceptional and distinguished service.
From observations on how the youth of today can improve their lives to other
nuggets of wisdom, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev shares his views.
