Facts and Figures-61: "Antarctica losing 190,000,000,000 tons of ice per year!"

A news item in Harper's Weekly (Harper's Weekly Review, November 24, 2009) says that Antartica was now losing, hold your breath, 190,000,000,000 tons of ice per year! I am curious how scientists arrive at these mind-boggling figures.

Grateful thanks to Paul Ford and Harper's Weekly.

Eyecatchers-143: "Global Warming Science is a Fraud?"

A collection of emails from leading climatologists was stolen by hackers and released online; climate-change skeptics said the emails demonstrated that global-warming science is a fraud, while the scientists said that that's just what science looks like.

From an ad of CMAI in Dinamalar, Tamil daily, I find that India has crossed the landmark of 500 million telephones.

Sam Pitroda and Rajiv Gandhi, the architects of Indian Communication revolution come to mind. They deserve our gratitude.

Let us look for many more such achievements.

My Video Album-1: My 60th Birthday Celerbations

This video was taken by one of my relatives, Mr.Sivasankaran, during my 60th birthday celebrations. He has added some background music, a Tamil film song, and sent it to me by email. Then I posted it to YouTube and again uploading it here for the benefit of the visitors of my blog. This was a joyous occasion for me, my friends and relatives. We were always enjoying ourselves which you can see it for yourself.

Grateful thanks to Mr.Sivasankaran and YouTube.
