This blog has become a sort of personal-cum-public diary. As for its contents, some are meant for me and my friends and relatives; others are for the public. This blog will have only positive, ennobling, elevating, encouraging and uplifting thoughts/ideas/materials. Whoever visits should feel happy and should be able to pick up some good ideas/thoughts/links. In short, "NOTHING NEGATIVE" is my motto.(Grateful thanks to Jon Sullivan and Public-Domain-Photos.com for the background photo)

There’s
a concept that’s crucial to chemistry and physics. It helps explain why
physical processes go one way and not the other: why ice melts, why cream
spreads in coffee, why air leaks out of a punctured tire. It’s entropy, and
it’s notoriously difficult to wrap our heads around. Jeff Phillips gives a
crash course on entropy.

Electromagnetism
is one of the four fundamental forces of nature. Learn about the relationship
between electricity and magnetism, the different wavelengths on the
electromagnetic spectrum, and how an
invisible force protects our entire planet.

Today
we ride the Flam Railway in Norway- voted the Most Beautiful Train Journey in
the World!! We bought tickets from Flam to Myrdal- we were lucky that there was
still space as the Flamsbana railway is one of Norway's biggest attractions!
For
more information about our trip on the Flamsbana railway from Flam to Myrdal,
visit our website: https://wandering-bird.com/flamsbana-...

Riding
the Flam railway (pronounced Flom!) was a spur of the moment decision and we
were pleased to be able to get tickets for the Flam railway straight away- all
the way up to Myrdal! Often, this line is so busy that you have to wait a few
hours for the next available space. Lucky us!
The
Flam to Myrdal line is very pretty- although I'm not sure I'd call it the most
beautiful train journey in the world! Especially when it's raining like it
sadly was for us. Still, we recommend the train journey to anyone on a cruise
or a short visit to Norway, as it's a wonderful way to see the Norwegian
mountains and the village of Myrdal.
It
also gives you a chance to visit Kjosfossen waterfall, the waterfall on the
flamsbana railway. This waterfall actually powers the Flam-Myrdal line, which
is cool. There's also a crazy dancing hundra girl who tries to lure you into
the mountain- to your DOOM! :) The singing by the waterfall is pretty.
