This little ghat section on the Mumbai - Manmad - Nagpur route turns
into green-heaven during Monsoon. With its eye-pleasing greenery, low clouds,
rivulets, tunnels, viaducts and water falls, this railway route is one among
the prettiest in India. Here are some glimpses from this Indian railway route.
Grateful thanks to Mr.HARISH KUMAR and YouTube.

When the Hoover Dam was completed, it created a huge source of
hydroelectric power and zapped a sleepy desert town to life: Las Vegas, Nevada.
With the power supply from the dam, Las Vegas soon exploded with vibrant
displays. The source of these dazzling lights was electrified neon gas. In this
special 360° animation, explore the colorful world of neon signs as Lippy
shares what makes them glow.
Grateful thanks TED-Ed, MICHAEL LIPMAN and YouTube.

Heisenberg's uncertainty principle tells us that it is impossible to
simultaneously measure the position and momentum of a particle with infinite
precision. In our everyday lives we virtually never come up against this limit,
hence why it seems peculiar. In this experiment a laser is shone through a narrow
slit onto a screen. As the slit is made narrower, the spot on the screen also
becomes narrower. But at a certain point, the spot starts becoming wider. This
is because the photons of light have been so localised at the slit that their
horizontal momentum must become less well defined in order to satisfy
Heisenberg's uncertainty principle.
I based this video on one by Prof. Walter Lewin of MIT:

Henry (MinutePhysics) has previously made a video about Heisenberg's
Uncertainty Principle where he treats it as less spooky and more a consequence
of waves: http://bit.ly/TV3xO5
Sixty Symbols has a great video on Planck's constant:

Thanks to the University of Sydney for hosting this experiment,
especially to Tom and Ralph for their assistance getting it working.

SAVING ON MEDICAL BILLS!
V.V.IMP message from Supreme Court.
This is definitely going to save ur money..
Dear All,
This is to inform you that medicines are prescribed (by doctors) by brand name & not by the generics (Ingredients). Hence we end up paying more money for the same medicine.
Follow these few steps to know more & start saving on your medical bills.
1. Simply go to www.Manddo.com (Medicines and Doctors online) go to medicines secton
2. Search the medicine name
3. Type the medicine name which you are using (e. g. Lyrica 75mg (Pfizer company)
4. It will show u medicine company, prices and Ingredients
5. Now main point CLICK ON 'SUBSTITUTE'
6. Don't be surprised to see that same drug is available at very low cost also. And that to,.. by other reputed manufacturer. e. g. Lyrica by pfizer is for Rs. 768.56 for 14 tab (54.89 per tab). Whereas same drug by Cipla (Prebaxe) is available ONLY @ Rs. 59.00 for 10 tab (5.9 per tab)
Please don't delete without forwarding.
Forward to all the contacts in your phone book.
Let the move by Supreme Court benefit everyone...
There was a big lobby by Pharma companies to stop generic medicines. But court kept the interest of common man and the medical need.

LOOKING BACK : THE INTEGRATION OF PRINCELY STATES
The integration of Princely states was a monumental achievement by any standard and it has virtually no parallel anywhere in the world. Patel is sometimes called India's Bismarck, which I consider is an insult to Patel.
Not many of us realize that the Indian Princes had a reasonably powerful body called the Chamber of Princes presided over by the Viceroy. It was established in 1920 to coordinate the efforts of Princes to safeguard their interests in the event of India becoming a Dominion.
As late as 1940 the Chamber passed a resolution which stated as follows:
"The Chamber of Princes, while welcoming the attainment by India of its due place among the Dominions of the British Commonwealth under the British Crown, records its emphatic and firm view that, in any future constitution for India, the essential guarantees and safeguards for the preservation of the sovereignty and autonomy of the States and for the protection of their rights and interests arising from treaties, and engagements and sanads or otherwise, should be effectively provided..."
India is what it is today because of our founding fathers.
Please listen to my talk at 1900 hours, this Saturday the 18th of July.
