This memorable photo of my mom and dad was taken some time in 1948, after their marriage on July 5.  Due to our carelessness, the photo got damaged a little bit, for which I am really sorry.  I am sure my siblings, all the ten of them, will like this photo.

During 1965-66, I studied in Raja Doraisingam Memorial College, Sivagangai.  We were residing at Manamadurai, a nearby place, from where I used to commute to and fro to attend classes. This is how Sivagangai came into my life.  Nearly 45 years after my college days there, I visited the place with my dear friend, Senthil, and clicked the landmarks for posting in my blog.

My Photo Album-67: Karthik under the Apple Tree

Karthik is my nephew.  He has been named after my father, his grandfather.  Had my dad been alive today, he would have been very happy to see this picture and would feel proud to know that his grandson is doing well in Australia.  The picture is fascinating to me in another respect.  Apple is something I see only in fruit-shops or in the cart of road-side vendors.  Here in the picture there are so many apples, looking so good, near the ground and easy to pluck.  Very nice indeed and so I have included it in my album.
