INNOVATIVE
TECHS
Nowadays,
there is plenty of unusual swimming facilities that fundamentally change our
idea of what water transport is all about. However, alternative fuel vessels,
using, for example, liquid hydrogen, are of special interest are. One of these
technological wonders is the EnergyObserver – the vessel that can fundamentally change people's
perception of “clean” energy.

Switzerland's
famous Glacier Express in Winter Snow. Travelling from Zermatt to St Moritz by
train on the Interrail Pass / Eurail Pass. Full details/itinerary here:
https://www.bangorni.com/glacier-expr...
We travelled
in early January following a stay in the town of Zermatt (next to the famous
Matterhorn mountain) when the small station town is still covered in snow and
decorated for Christmas. Note, this was part of a wider Interrail/Eurail
journey outlined fully here: https://www.bangorni.com/interrail-in...
The Glacier
Express railway train then follows from Zermatt (08:00AM start for us) through
many small mountain stations, including Visp, before crossing the snowy
mountains of the Alps.
Early
attractions include the Oberalppass, which is the highest point of the journey,
as well as the Rhine Gorge where the Rhine River passes in the Swiss Alps.
Before reaching the next main station at Chur (pronounced Coor). And this is an
optional end to the Glacier Express.
However, the
best-known attraction is the Landwasser Viaduct, found along the train line
between Chur and St Gallen, and it takes roughly 2 hours between these two
stations of the railway line.
The Glacier
Express takes 8 hours in total from Zermatt to St Moritz (Switzerland) on what
is known as the 'World's Slowest Fast Train' where it is a high-speed train,
only, given the terrain, it is the world's slowest when going from point A to
point B.

Thank you to

SHIGATSE,
TIBET - Along with Lhasa, Shigatse is one of the most important and largest
cities in Tibet. We had the honor to explore Shigatse for the day, learn about
the city, eating Tibetan food, and learn about the amazing Tibetan culture.
#Shigatse #Tibet #food
Tibetan
breakfast - There’s nothing better to eat for breakfast in Tibet than tsampa -
roasted barley flour, mixed with yak cheese, yak butter, and sugar, and formed
into small hand-squeezed balls. It grows like a loaf of bread in your stomach -
it’s so hearty and filling. The best part of the experience was eating it in a
local home and watching them as they made it for breakfast, the common way they
do everyday for breakfast. The butter tea was excellent.
Tibetan food
lunch - We went to a local family restaurant for lunch we we tried a number of
Tibetan, and specifically Shigatse foods, including dumpling in soup, a fried
bread stuffed with yak, fried sheep lungs, and Tibetan blood sausage. It was a
heavy and meaty lunch, and the food was delicious.
Tashilhunpo
Monastery - As the palace of the Panchen Lama (second most important spiritual
figure in Tibetan Buddhism), the Tashilhunpo Monastery is one of the most
sacred and important sites in Shigatse. After walking around the temple complex
in the morning, we then went into the temple complex in the afternoon.
It was a
great day of food, exploring, and learning in Shigatse, Tibet.
Thank you to
Travel China & Tibet (https://www.travelchinatibet.com/), they sponsored my
trip to Tibet, and they did an amazing job to cater to the exact things I
wanted to do. Highly recommended when you visit Tibet.
