PLACE & PERIOD : RANI-KI-VAV - Queen's Stepwell (ராணி-கி-வாவ் : படிக்கிணறு) was constructed by Rani Udayamati, Queen of Bhimadeva-I (1022–1064 CE) of Solanki Dynasty.
This UNESCO Heritage Site is considered as the finest and one of the largest example of stepwell architecture in Gujarat.
LOCATION : Patan - earlier known by its medieval name 'Anahillapura' was the flourishing Capital of Solanki or Chalukya dynasty of Gujarat; 125 kms from Ahmedabad.
